Apply for Account Executive (Company Secretary)
UK/Remote • Permanent
Summary
We're looking for a Company Secretary who understands governance from the inside and wants to apply that expertise in a client-facing sales role. You know the pressure of board cycles, the detail behind entity management and the compliance frameworks that listed companies live by. In this role, you'll put that expertise to work in a completely different way. You'll sell InsiderList, our MAR compliance platform, to the governance and compliance professionals you already understand. That means running demos, onboarding new clients, delivering training and helping customers get lasting value from the product. This is a sales role, but not the kind you might picture. There's no cold calling. You'll guide clients through the full journey, from first demo to go-live and beyond. What makes you effective isn't a sales background. It's your governance expertise. That's what gives you credibility with our customers, and it's what matters most to us.
Key Responsibilities
- Run product demonstrations for prospective customers, drawing on your governance experience to speak directly to their workflows and pain points
- Guide prospects from first demo through to contract signature
- Own onboarding for new customers, including implementation planning, configuration support and go-live coordination
- Deliver remote training sessions for administrators and end users, including refresher sessions as teams evolve
- Support and grow a portfolio of existing clients, helping them adopt more of the platform and renew with confidence
- Translate customer needs into clear product feedback, covering feature requests, process gaps and competitive insight
Requirements
- Professional experience as a Company Secretary or in a closely related governance role, with a solid understanding of board and entity governance processes
- Confidence presenting to senior governance and compliance stakeholders
- Self-directed, well-organised and comfortable working remotely
- Experience supporting listed companies (Main Market or AIM) or working with professional services firms such as advisers or corporate service providers
- Familiarity with Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) workflows or insider list processes in practice
Education & Experience
- Chartered Governance Institute (CGI) qualification (or working towards it) is strongly preferred
- Degree in law, business, finance, governance, or a related field is beneficial (or equivalent professional experience)
- Ongoing CPD in corporate governance, regulation, or company secretarial practice is a plus
